Classic Prawns Curry | Royyala Kura

Ingredients

Fresh Cleaned Prawns : 1 Kg

Chopped Onions : 4 Medium size



Sliced Green Chillies : 3 or 4

Garam Masala : 2 tsp**



Cashews and Poppy Seeds (for paste) : 1 tsp each



Ginger Garlic Paste : 3 tsp



Turmeric Powder : 1 tsp

Red Chilly Powder : 2 tsp

Cloves, Elaichi, Cinnamon, Cashews : 10, 2, 1 small, 5



Salt : As Per Taste

Coriander Leaves : little



Oil : 3-4 tsp

Procedure

**Garam Masala : Blend 1 tsp Coriander Seeds, 4 Cloves, 1 Cinnamon, 2 Elaichi, Little Shaw jeera and 4 Black Pepperinto Powder

Step 1 : Marinate cleaned Prawns adding 2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste, 1 tsp Turmeric Powder, 1 tsp Salt and 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder for 1 hour



Step 2 : Fry 10 Cloves, 2 Elaichi, 1 small Cinnamon and 5 Cashews in 4 tsp heating Oil



Step 3 : Fry Chopped Oniond and Green Chillies adding 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder and 1/2 tsp Salt till golden colour in low flame



Step 4 : Mean while blend 1 tsp Cashews and Poppy Seeds into paste adding water



Step 5 : Once fried add 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste and mix them well for 1 min



Step 6 : Add Marinated Prawns to the pan, mix for 1 min



Step 7 : Add Cashew and Poppy Seeds paste to it. Close the pan and cook for 5 min in medium flame



Step 8 : Add 1 tsp Red Chilly Powder, mix carefully and close the pan



Step 9 : Add 2 tsp Garam Masala, mix and cook till the curry thicken (For more spice add 1 or 2 tsp Garam Masala)



Step 10 : Garnish with Coriander Leaves and off the flame once curry is cooked, add 1/2 tsp ghee for taste



Tasty Classic Prawns Curry is ready to serve :)


Tastes good with Plain Rice, Coconut Rice, Tomato Rasam
