Sanagapindi (Besan, Gram Flour) : 1 kg or 1 bowl

Procedure

Step 1: Prepare the Besan Mixture

Mix besan (gram flour) with water to form a thick paste with medium consistency.

Step 2: Heat the Oil

While the oil is heating in a pan, insert the thick besan paste into the Chakrala Giddelu (molds).

Step 3: Fry the Chakralu

Slowly release the shaped dough (chakralu) into the hot oil and fry them until they turn a golden yellow color.

Step 4: Grind the Chakralu

After all the chakralu are fried, blend them into a smooth powder using a grinder or mixer.

Step 5: Prepare the Sugar Syrup

Heat 2 kg of sugar and 50 grams of jaggery in 1/2 liter of water. Once it comes to a boil, simmer for 10 minutes.

Turn off the stove and add the chakralu powder, a pinch of edible camphor, cardamom powder, and ghee to the sugar syrup. Stir the mixture well.

Step 7: Shape the Laddus

Thoroughly mix the ingredients again in small batches. Once mixed, let the mixture cool slightly before applying ghee to your hands and shaping it into round laddus.

Garnish each laddu with a fried cashew on top. Let the laddus cool and set before serving.
