Ingredients

Milk: 1/2 litre

Procedure

Step 1: Boil the Milk

Heat 1/2 litre of milk in a saucepan until it comes to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer gently.

In a separate bowl, take 1/2 cup of cold milk and mix it with 6 tablespoons of custard powder. Stir well to ensure there are no lumps.

Step 3: Add Sugar to Boiling Milk

Gradually add 10 to 12 tablespoons of sugar to the simmering milk, stirring continuously to dissolve the sugar completely.

Step 4: Combine Custard Mixture with Boiling Milk

After about 2 minutes, slowly pour the custard mixture into the boiling milk while continuously stirring to ensure a smooth consistency.

Step 5: Cook Until Thickened

Continue to cook the mixture for another 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly until it thickens and bubbles appear, indicating that it's ready.

Step 6: Prepare the Plate with Ghee

Take a plate and apply 1/4 teaspoon of ghee to prevent the custard from sticking to the plate.

Pour the cooked custard into the prepared plate and allow it to cool down to room temperature.
