Ingredients
Rice flour : 4 bowls
Sanagapindi (Gram flour) : 2 bowls
Refined oil : 1 KG
Vaamu (Tymol seeds) : 1 table spoon
Red chilli powder : 1 table spoon
Butter or ghee : 1/4th bowl
Salt : 1 table spoon (to your taste)
Kaaram poosa gidda (Cooking tool)
Procedure:
Step 1 : Blend vaamu (tymol seeds), keep it aside
Step 2 : Take rice flour in a basin and sanagapindi (Gram flour), 1 tsp salt & mix them
Step 3 : Now add vaamu (tymol seeds) powder and butter or ghee (heated) to that mixture in basin
Step 4 : Mix the powder adding water to medium thickness
Step 5 : Heat 1 KG refined oil in a bandi or thick cooking container in high flame
Step 6 : Take the mixed dough in to small quantity and put in the chakrala gidda
Step 7 : Slowly press and empty the dough in the chakrala gidda in a evenly spiral fashion into the heated oil
Step 8 : When it is golden brown colour seperate the kaaram poosa from oil
Hot hot Kaaram Poosa snack is ready :)
